died April 1, 1973, in the
Madison County Hospital. Born
Sept. 1, 1886 in Douglas County.
Mo., the son of Gilbert and
Catherine Croker Applegate, he
was a Baptist.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs.
Linnie Scates Applegate of the
home; three sons, Bill of Selah,
Wash., Dane of Tulsa and Lawrence
of Ava, Mo.; eight
daughters, Mrs. Mavie Short of
Rose, Okla., Mrs. Samantha
Foreman of Copan, Okla., Miss
Rachel Applegate of Guam,
Mrs. Viola Collins of Tulsa,
Mrs. Annie O'Brian of Kansas
City and Mrs. Eva Wolfe and
Mrs. Aleene Smith of Ozark,
Mo. and Mrs. Sharon Boatright
of Huntsville; two step-sons, Bob
Womack and Jack Dixon both
of Huntsville.
