She was born April 19, 1909, in Barbour County, W Va, a daughter of the late Howard and Florence Murphy Kellison.
She was a retired employee of the former Lou Groza Drycleaners in Salem.
She was a member of the Salem Eagles' Auviliary and the Salem Amvets Auxiliary by two husbands, Hayward Whitehair, who died Nov 8, 1967, and William Crider who died in 1972.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs Ruby Jenkins of Salem, two sons, Arnold Shaffer of Grafton, W Va and Hayward Whitehair, Jr of Salem; one sister, Pearl Workman of Bellington, W Va; 11 grandchildren; 19 great granchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert P Shaffer.
Services will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday at the Stark Memorial with the Rev Gilbert Gamble officiatin. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
