Dr Walter S Dooley, beloved physician and prominent citizen, died in his office of a heart attack about 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 24.
Funeral services are scheduled for today at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church; Bilbrey's is in charge.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie Gernt Dooley; their 2 daughters Joyce and Frances; 2 sisters, Mrs. Richard Bradley, Detroit, Mi; Mrs. Bayard Barton, Stonega, Va; 3 brothers, George and Burke of Dallas, Tx; B L Dooley of Crossville.

Dr Dooley passed away at his office after returning from his usual daily visits to patients.
Burial followed in the City cemetery near where their little daughter Francene was buried in August, 1934.
Born January 30, 1885 in Columbia, Maury County, the son of the late Fannie Bell and George Dooley; he received his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis and interned at City Hospital, Nashville. His first active practice began in Wilder, where he remained 18 years, afterwards relocating here in April 1929. He joined the Presbyterian church in his youth; he was Mason, a Shriner and a member of the State, district and county medical associations, and the American Medical Association. His marriage to the former Lillie Gernt took place in 1916.
