Edwin Bade Sheboygan Press October 29, 1964

Edwin C. Bade, 86, a lifelong Plymouth resident, died at Rocky Knoll Hospital and Sanatorium late Wednesday afternoon after a short illness.

He was born Oct. 29, 1877, at Plymouth, a son of the late Christoph and Wilhelmine Borges Bade. He attended St. John's Lutheran School and the Plymouth High School, and was married June 19, 1907, at Milwaukee of Olga Troeller. Following their marriage, the couple lived at Plymouth until 1958, when they went to live with a son-in-law and daughter in Indianapolis, Ind. The couple returned a month ago and had resided at rocky Knoll until the present time.

Mr. Bade was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Plymouth, formerly an assistant organist in the church and sang in the church choir for many years. He was employed at the Plymouth Utilities until he became a partner in Bade and Rieck Plumbing and Heating Co., Plymouth. He late was employed at Rohde Bros. for 20 years before retiring in 1957. A charter member of the Plymouth Hook and Ladder Company, he was also active in baseball at Plymouth for many years.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Emily) Kastner, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. R. (Marguerite) Voll, Appleton; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Plymouth. The Rev. G. A. Karpinsky, associate pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Plymouth Union Cemetery
