She was a member of Magazine Street Seventh Day Adventist Church and a teacher at Young Elementary School.
Survivors include a daughter, Briana Nicole DeSha; two sisters, Sonya DeSha-Hill (Stewart) and Kimberly A. DeSha; two brothers, Steven and Bertram DeSha.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at her church, 1942 Magazine St., with burial in Cap Anderson Cemetery in Brandenburg. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements are by W. P. Porter Mortuary.
