Mildred was a resident of Sheridan, Arkansas at the time of her passing.

She was married to George.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with her grandchildren and Bro. William Ashcraft officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be from 12:00 until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mildred Allen Gartman of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 1, 1926 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Moroe and Betty Easley Allen. She was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. The last 20 years of her life she enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband.

Mrs. Gartman died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs at the age of 83 .

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Conrad Gartman, a sister, Pat Horton and a great grandson, Carson Lewis Humphries.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Larry Gartman and wife Janna of Rogers; daughter, Donna and husband Joe Yancey of Hot Springs, formerly of Sheridan; brother-in-law, Wallace Horton of Sheridan; sister, Sue and husband Raymond Davis of Sheridan. She was a proud Mimmie to her grandchildren, Amy Humphries and husband J.J. of Hot Springs; Sarah Biggs and husband Travis of Fort Smith; Jake Yancey and wife Timie of Benton; Jessica McDonald and husband Brian of Little Rock, Jennifer Gartman, Tara Gartman, Haley Gartman, and Lucas Gartman all of Rogers; great grandchildren, Sarah Jessica Humphries , Hudson Joseph Yancey and Avery Jo McDonald and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
