Sadie was born at the Duncan family farm near Killeen, Texas. Her father moved the family to Killeen when he bought a house on College Street sometime before 1920. He was the first Rural Free Delivery mail carrier at Killeen and continued this work until his death. Sadie married to Guy Evans on 6 September 1921 at Bell County, Texas. They made their home at Killeen; then at Brownwood, Texas; and Abilene, Texas. Sadie's last known residence was at Killeen. She and Guy had one child, born in 1923, Guy Willis Evans, Jr.
