Willard Armstrong,94,New Castle resident,passed away Saturday,Nov. 5,2011,in New Castle,IN. He was born Nov. 21,1916,in Farmers,KY,a son of the late Elbert and Della (Estep)Armstrong.

He was a New Castle resident since 1949 and was retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1980 after 31 years of service. Mr. Armstrong was a member of U.A.W. Local 371, and was an Army-Air Corp. veteran of WWII,serving in Panama,among other stations of duty. He was a recipient of several military awards and recognitions. He was an active member of Whittier Lane Baptist Church for many years.

Left to cherish his memory include on sister, Irene Ferrell of Cadiz;also many nieces,nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife,Erma Irene Armstrong,May 14,1996;three sisters,Beulah Culbertson,Nola Phelp,Oma Conn;three brothers, Ollie Armstrong,Ted Armstrong and Tom Armstrong.

He will be buried at Green Hills Memory Garden west of New Castle with full Military honors.
