Raymond C. Lahl, 79, of 233 Caroline St., Plymouth, a retired furniture salesman, died of an apparent heart attack at his home Sunday. His wife, Clara, had died only the past Feb. 23.
A traveling salesman for furniture manufacturing firms for some years, Mr. Lahl had represented Mersman Furniture Co. of Salina, Ohio, in Wisconsin for 30 years until retiring in 1961. Prior to that he had been a salesman for the Kiel Furniture Co. in Milwaukee.
A native of Plymouth, he was born May 3, 1879, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lahl. He attended elementary school and graduated from High school in Plymouth. He married Clara Bliffert, Sept 12, 1912 in Milwaukee, where the couple lived until moving to Plymouth in 1937. He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Plymouth and Cassia Lodge 167, F and A M, Plymouth.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Friedl (Kathryn) Milwaukee, and Mrs. Robert Stuhlmacher (Dorothy), Wisconsin Rapids; two sons, John and Raymond of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie McAvoy, Hibbing, Minn.
