Born Rosa Staridhaft and privately known as "Minnie Lyon", she married actor Dan Crimmins. Rosa teamed with her husband and called their act "Crimmins and Gore." They toured vaudeville houses in the United States and Europe from 1878 to 1912. While on tour in Detroit in 1896, Rosa gave birth to their son, Daniel Crimmin, Jr. He became an actor and changed his name to Danny Hoy. She entered films with Pathe in New Jersey in 1912. She moved to Los Angeles in 1917 and built a home at 351 Laveta Terrace in Echo Park, along with a guest house on Cortez Street around the corner. Rosa appeared in 45 films including: "The Final Curtain" (1916) (silent), "Pink Tights" (1920) (silent), "Vanity Fair" (1923) (silent), "The Laurel and Hardy Murder Case" (1930), "The Hard Hombre" (1931), "Shrimps for a Day" (1934) and "The Cat's-Paw" (1934). She was 75 years old.
