Harold Wallace Dumas died Friday, May 22, 1987, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 68, a native of Opelousas, former resident of Lynchburg, Va., 35 years, and resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Monroe Calculating Machine Co. branch manager, with 38 years service.
Arrangements entrusted to Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, with religious services conducted by the Rev. Mack Strange. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by his wife, Lillian Vincent Dumas; a daughter, Jody Dumas McGovern, Richmond, Va.;p a son, Dr. Harold Bahan Dumas, White Marsh, Va.; a brother W.W. "Woody" Dumas, Baker; and four granddaughters, Elizabeth Summers Dumas and Sarah Vincent Dumas, both of White Marsh, Meghan Kathleen and Meredith Dumas McGovern, both of Richmond.
Preceded in death by parents, Jubal Earl and Margaret A. Dumas; two brothers, Leo A. and E.A. "Skeets" Dumas; and three sisters, Gertrude "Pat" Dumas Lamb, Elizabeth Dumas Ballance and Elva Dumas Armstrong.
He was a member of Fairwood Country Club.
