Mrs. Elizabeth Dumas Ballance died Friday, March 16, 1984, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. She was 72, a native of Opelousas and resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired Baton Rouge City Police Department dispatcher.

She is survived by a son, Wallace E. Bahm, Baton Rouge; two brothers, W.W. “Woody” Dumas, Baker, and Harold W. Dumas, Baton Rouge; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband, Joe L. Ballance; three sisters, Gertrude Lamb, Elva Armstrong and Doris Dumas; two brothers, Leo and E.A. “Skeets” Dumas.
