Max P. Neutzler, 82, of 1116 Jefferson St., died Tuesday morning at the Harry S Truman Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia. Mr. Neutzler was born Sept. 18, 1893, in Jefferson City, son of Frank and Anna Wolf Neutzler. He was married Nov. 26, 1925, in Jefferson City to Amelia Wachter, who survives at the home.
Mr. Neutzler, who was a life-long Jefferson City resident, was the owner and operator of the Capital City Planing Co. for 20 years, until his retirement in 1954.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. During World War I, Mr. Neutzler served in the Army.
Survivors include: Two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Kampeter, 1631 Tanner Bridge Rd., Miss Leona Neutzler, of the home; one son, Tony Neutzler, Lee's Summit; three brothers. Hubert Neutzler Sr., 1600 Stadium Blvd., Leo Neutzler, 1513 Stadium Blvd., and Frank Neutzler, Overland; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Gatzweiler and Mrs. Hilda Allcorn, both of Maplewood, and five grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Patrick Daley will offficiate at services at 10 a.m. Thursday in the St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Heart Assn. or the Central Missouri Diabetes Assn.
