Prior to his retirement in 1984, Mr. Faupl was employed in the shipping department of Aurora Pump Co. in Aurora, IL for 29 years.
He is a member of Danube-Swabian of Aurora, IL, Annunciation Catholic Church and formerly a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Aurora, IL.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anna Maria nee Seifert; three daughters, Monica (Michael) Minalda, Joan (Bruce) Frantzen, Mary (Chad) DeKing all of Aurora, IL; two sons, Karl (Betty) Faupl of Utica, IL, John (Valerie) Faupl of Montgomery, IL; 14 grandchildren, Dean Rackley of Fresno, CA, Angela (Aaron) Chiaventone of Ottawa, IL, Adam Faupl of Utica, IL, Erik and Diane Minalga of Aurora, IL, Jason, Mark, Patrick and Ryan Frantzen of Aurora, IL, Cory, Kelly and Stephanie DeKing of Aurora, IL; step-grandchildren, David Hess of Maple Park, IL and Doreen Hess of Aurora, IL; five (and one on the way!) great-grandchildren; two brother-in-laws; three sister-in-laws; several nieces, nephews and cousins in America and Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Katharina Lakatos and Appolonia Schlag.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 2, 2003 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary service at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506. Funeral service will be on Monday, November 3, 2003 at 9:15 a.m. from Healy Chapel to Annunciation Catholic Church in Aurora, IL for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Mario Pedi.
