Wendell Allen Alder, 79, of Ludlow, Kentucky, passed away Saturday (November 12, 2011) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a Fork Lift Operator for Diamond International Corporation in Lockland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Lucas.
Surviving are: His wife of 55 years: Thelma Alder of Ludlow, Kentucky; Sons: Allen Alder of Ludlow, Kentucky; Terry Alder of Bromley, Kentucky; and Wendell (Karen) Alder, Jr. of Bridgetown, Ohio; Daughter: Janice (Marvin) Lamb of Ludlow, Kentucky; Four grandchildren: Stacey (Eric) Turner of Walton, Kentucky; Kelley Lamb of Ludlow, Kentucky; and Scott Alder and Julie Alder, both of Bridgetown, Ohio; Brothers: Glen Alder and Abijah Mitchell Alder, Jr., both of Mt. Healthy, Ohio; Sister: Georgia Allen of Jonesville, Virginia
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Jonesville, Virginia.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow in Millers Chapel Cemetery in Jonesville, Virginia.
