Diana Herndon Lines, the daughter of Elliot and Sarah Carter Herndon married John R. Lines on March 16, 1820 in Franklin County, Indiana. Diana and John were some of the founders of the West Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, also known as Old Stone Church in Franklin township, Des Moines County, Iowa. They were the parents to a possible thirteen children: Sarah, Robert, Allison, Alexander, Jesse, Tyra, Wiley, Elizabeth, Noah, Elijah, Elliot B., Charlotte and Lewis. Some of the members of this family also go by the name of Lyons.
