GIBSON, Geneva Nelson, age 71, of Radford passed away Wednesday, November 11, 1998, at Carilion Radford Community Hospital.

She was born July 17, 1927, daughter of the late Cephas G. and Ollie Dove Clark Nelson.

She was preceded in death by one son and daughter-in-law, James Leo Gibson, Jr., and Linda Frye Gibson.

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse with Radford Community Hospital with nine years of service, she also worked for Dr. Russell Davis and Dr. William Prillaman.

She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, the Ladies Moose Lodge, and the Sunset Village Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband, James Leo (Jim) Gibson, Sr., of Radford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marti and Ronald Carr of Dublin, and Yvonne and Tom Gaines of Mazatlan, Mexico; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry D. and Peggy Gibson of Dublin, and Larry D. and Cindy Gibson of Roanoke; one sister, Catherine Carroll of Martinsville; nine grandchildren and spouses, Kim and Wesley Vest, Terry and Sonia Carr, Eddie Gibson, Joe Gibson, Brad Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Melissa Gibson, India Fulbright and Paul Fulbright; and three great-grandchildren, Aaron Vest, Tya Carr and Breeana Carr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church with Rev. Jim Workman officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Grace Episcopal Church. Arrangements by Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
