Richard Hankins signed his Last Will and Testament on 25 June 1800. His death date has not been determined.


In the name of God amen:

I Richard Hankins of Jefferson County being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be God, do this 25th day of June in the year of our Lord 1800, make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following, that is to say,


First -- I give and bequeath to David Hankins one hundred and sixty acres of land where I now live.

I bequeath to my wife all my movable 'till her death, and then to go to David Hankins all my horses and cattle.

I bequeath to Thomas Hankins eighty nine acres of land where he now lives.

I bequeath to Richard Hankins eighty nine acres of land where his cabin is.

Abram and John and Becky and Debe; my worthy Friend William Hankins, Executor of this my last will and Testament, set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Richard Hankins, the testator, as his last will and Testament in the presence of us who were present at the signing and sealing thereof.
