Anson D. Rush, 77, of Carmichaels R. D. 1, (Khedive) died at 9:55 a.m. Friday, May 18, 1973 in Greene County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

Born August 7, 1895 in Khedive, he was the son of Joe M. and Cora Cree Rush. He was first married to the late former Elizabeth Hoge, who died in 1946, and then married the former Marie Hupp, who survives.

Mr. Rush was a life-long resident of the Khedive area, and was a member of the Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church. He was a retired farmer, having farmed all his life.

Mr. Rush was also a veteran of World War I and a member of the Carmichaels-Cumberland Post 400 of the American Legion, Carmichaels, and was at one time a Cumberland Township Road Supervisor.

Surviving him in addition to his wife, Marie Hupp Rush, are a step-son, James H. Baxter of Painesville, Ohio; three grandsons, Albert Rush, Jr., Bruce Rush and Brice Rush, all of Carmichaels; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Allison of Carmichaels; and Mrs. Della Neel of Jefferson.

Two sons, Albert Rush and Leroy Rush; two sisters, Edna Rush and Hazel Cree; a brother, James Wesley Rush; and a step-son, Robert Baxter, are all deceased.
