Robert O. Bice, 81 of County Route 22 died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Carthage Area Hospital.

Born October 13, 1930 in the town of Worth, he was the son of Ora and Gladys O'Conner Bice, he attended a one room school house in the town of Worth.

He married Shirley Davis on June 26, 1993 in Theresa.

Mr. Bice served in the United States Army in the late 1940's and was honorably discharged.

He was a member of the Robert Markwich Post 798 in Philadelphia.

Mr. Bice enjoyed hunting, scrapping metal, dancing, watching western movies, mud bogging, and spending time with his family.

Surviving besides his wife are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeff and Dawn of North Carolina; Steven of Texas; Joe of Utica, New York; David and Mary of Philadelphia, New York, a daughter and her husband, Debbie and Frank Marshall of Antwerp, New York; a stepdaughter, Laurie Roe of Philadelphia; three brothers Jim and John both of the Town of Worth; and Richard of Adams; five sisters Marguirite "Maggie" Brown of Florida; Sandy Piddock of the Town of Worth, New York; Betty Robbins of Watertown, New York; June Bice of the Town of Worth; and Jenny Carr of Glen Park, New York.
12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Dan died before him.

A memorial gathering will be 5 to 9pm Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Theresa Fire Hall.
