Quinton Smith, 17, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Dallas.

Services for Quinton will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Greater St. Luke's Baptist Church with the Rev. J.H. Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. There will be rosary held tonight at Calvillo Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m.

Quinton was born March 13, 1994 in San Antonio to Anthony Smith and Brenda Zapata. He was currently a Junior at Estacado High School and was a member of the tennis team, the chess club, choir, theatre club, and was also involved in Mock Trial under the Criminal Law Class.

He is survived by his parents, Brenda Zapata of Lubbock and Anthony Smith of San Antonio; two sisters, Antoinette Smith and Latasha Smith both of Lubbock; his grandparents, Lawrence Sanders of Lubbock, John and Mary Smith of San Antonio; four aunts, Betty Zapata, Dora Zapata, Christy Pickett and Lashara Sanders all of Lubbock; and one uncle, Cleveland O'Neil Smith of San Antonio.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Smith Jr.; his grandmother, Mary Zapata; and one uncle, Steve Zapata.

Qunton Smith, a junior at Esticado High School in Lubbock fell from the roof of the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.
