She was born on 19th August 1864 and was baptised at St Botolph's Church, Northfleet, on 25th September 1864 .
She grew up at 11 The Creek, Northfleet. She was admitted to the Sturge School, Northfleet High street on 3rd April 1876. Under the heading "last school" is recorded "none" by law she should have been at school since the introduction of compulsory education for under tens in 1870.
She was still living at home aged twenty-four at the time of the 1891 census, but in 1901 was listed as a patient at the Union Workhouse, Strood.
She died at Strood in March 1914 and was buried in Northfleet Cemetery, grave number 909D. Her grave is unmarked.
