Jane and Thomas Jones daughter, Martha A. Jones was born just a few weeks after her father's death. After the death of her husband, Jane and her daughter (Martha) lived with Jane's father, William McAhren in Noble Township (according to the 1850 census). According to the 1870 Census of Noble Township, Jane Jones, was living in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Martha A and William Monroe.

I'm told Jane McAhren and Thomas Jones had two babies who died at birth. One infant is buried next to Thomas and Jane Jones in this cemetery. However, there is an Eliza McAhren next to them also, and is noted as d/o W & E McAhren (age 40+) so possibly Jane did have a sister.

In 1983, Cecile Montgomery, grandaughter of William Monroe, had a marker placed on Jane's grave with her name only as she could not ascertain any dates.
