After graduation from Millard High School, Clarice moved to San Diego where she met her future husband, Royal at an LDS Stake Dance. They were married in 1958 and moved to Provo where Royal completed his teaching degree at BYU. While in Provo, Clarice gave birth to their first child. After her husband finished his degree, they moved to Kearns where they had an additional three children. Then the family moved to Fillmore. While living in Fillmore, two additional children were born. First moving to Provo so her husband could continue his education, the family finally settled in Orem where a set of twins were born. While in Orem, Clarice worked as a volunteer for the Scera Theater and did home care for children. It was later in Orem that Clarice worked for and retired from Utah Valley Hospital after fourteen years.
After retirement, Clarice and her husband moved to St. George. Always active, Clarice produced quilts, clothing, pillow cases and embroidered towels for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She eventually established a business, hem stitching other's quilts.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clarice worked in the primary organization as a teacher and chorister. She spent over ten years working with Cub Scouting. She was remembered for always being involved in Relief Society, doing compassionate service for others. Clarice served a one year mission with her husband in the Washington D.C.
