Lovice Beaumont was the second child of Leah Fear Alden (of Mayflower fame) and Isaiah Beaumont, wounded hero of the Revolutionary War, to be called Lovice. The first Lovice died in infancy. As a young woman, Lovice began calling herself 'Louisa' and signed herself as such at the time of her first marriage to Asa Hall. In 1829 the young window Hall, mother of a daughter, Roselinda, married the wealthiest man in town, developer and Justice of the Peace, Noble Landon, Esq. Together they had daughters, Isabella, Arabella, and Victoria. 'Louisa's' marker is one of very few remaining in a small cemetary nearly destroyed by a vandal more than a decade ago.
