BENJAMIN GEARY SOUTH, well known retired farmer, died at his home, along the Sharpsburg Pike, about four miles south of Hagerstown on Saturday night at 9:30 o'clock of paralysis, after an illness of seven months, aged 79 years.
He was born and reared, lived and died in the same neighborhood. He was the son of Benjamin and Margaret (Young) South.
Besides his wife, Jane C. South, he leaves the following children: Mrs. C. E. Routzahn, Breathedsville; Mrs. Raymond Brewer, Funkstown: Roy O., Funkstown, and George R. South, at home.
Funeral services at the house Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services by Rev. M. A. Ashby. Interment in Dunkard Cemetery, Beaver Creek.
The pallbearers will be six of his nephews.
Friends and relatives invited to attend funeral without further notice.
