Wilbur DeVault

Wilbur DeVault, 91, of Richmond, Ohio, died Thursday, March 17, 1994, at his home.

Born June 29, 1902 in Mason County, he was a son of the late James and Delphia (Thornton) DeVault. He was a retired Weirton Steel Corp. machinist, a retired Jefferson County farmer, a member of Richmond Presbyterian Church, a former elder at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church and a member of the 25-Year Club at Weirton Steel.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ethel (Jackson) DeVault; a son, James DeVault; a daughter, Dorothy Geissler; a grandson; three brothers, Harley DeVault, Henry DeVault, and Clyde DeVault; and three sisters, Emma DeVault, Ora DeVault and Hallie Roush.

Surviving are a son, Dale DeVault of Great Falls, Montana; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Alice) Carter of Bergholz, Mrs. Fred (Mary) Ramsey and Mrs. James (Margie) Jackson, both of Richmond; three sisters, Icy Rollins and Bessie Rollins of Leon and Bertha Kinzel of Letart; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Service was held on Saturday, March 19, at Everhart Funeral Home in Richmond, OH with Rev. Don Woodford officiating. Burial was at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, Ohio.
