Anna Smith is the wife of Joseph Davidson, whom she married on the 23rd of December 1816 in Cumberland County, Virginia;

Mother of Martha A. Davidson (Mrs. Jeremiah Henry Boyles), Katherine J "Kitty" Davidson (Mrs. Lemuel G. White), Mary Anna Davidson (Common-law wife of Samuel Miller, of Lynchburg; later, Mrs. Frederick Miller) and John Davidson;

Grandmother of Robert W. Davidson, James M. Davidson, John Davidson, Samuel Miller Davidson, Bennett Marion Davidson and Albert E. Davidson, and of Thomas, Charles, James, George W., William H., and Elizabeth A. Boyles.

Anna and husband Joseph were born, raised and married in Cumberland County; Joseph worked as a Carpenter; sometime after 1840 they moved with their children to Lynchburg, in Campbell County, Virginia; shortly after Joseph died, Anna moved with her daughter Mary Davidson, and Mary's children, to Walkers Creek, Rockbridge County, Virginia.

Anna died at the end of November in 1871; she is buried up the road from her home in Walkers Creek, in the Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

She is fondly remembered by all of the families who have passed down the stories of her life.
