It is believed that Amon was born at this location, in the cabin. Amon lived in the cabin as an adult and many, if not all, of his children were born in the cabin.
The cabin was built on a level site near a natural spring on the property. This was the source of water for the family.
The small family cemetery site where Amon's final resting place is located, is at the top of a steep hill on the property, behind the cabin site.
