Jane Guengerich
Funeral services for Jane Guengerich, 72, ....will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Darwood J. Kesselmayer will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Preston-Hanley funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of which she was a member.
Mrs. Guengerich died at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1988, in the Pekin Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 3, 1915, in Pekin, she was the daughter of LeRoy L. and Mary McMillan Mace. She married Henry John Guengerich Feb. 10, 1934, in Peoria. He died Sept. 16, 1954.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gene (Delores) Shafer of Pekin; one son, Robert E. Guengerich of Danville; one brother, LeRoy Mace of Pekin; five grandchildren; and on great-grandchildren. One sister also preceded her in death. Mrs. Guengerich had been employed at Alexander's Grocery from 1964 to 1968. She was a cook at the Tazewell County Nursing Home from 1968 to 1972.
