Services for Miles L. White will be at 10AM, Friday, December 16, 2011 at Church of Pentecost, Ball with Rev. Lonnie Weidner officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM until 9PM Thursday, December 15th and from 9AM until time of service Friday, December 16th at Church of Pentecost. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bentley under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Miles L. White, 87, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Grace Home.

Mr. White served in the Navy during World War II. He volunteered to go on the Kula Expedition that went up to Point Barre, Alaska. That's where all the Alaskan oil was discovered in 1944.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mozzelle Frazier White; daughter, Galyn White Ray Oniesha; father, Arthur Lee White; mother, Pearl White; brothers, R. L. White and Austin White; one grandson, John A. White.

He is survived by his son, Gary L. White; one sister, Ila Barton; two grandsons, Chris Ray and Sandy Ray; two granddaughters, Tammy Ray and Shiloh Rasco; two nieces, Sharon Thompson and Glenda Anthony; four nephews, Doug White, Dwight White, Larry White and Leamon White; eight great grandchildren.
