HOOGENDAM, Hendrika (Rita) - At Brockville General Hospital suddenly on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Willem Hoogendam. Loving mother of Peter Hoogendam (Lynne), Ellen Thorvardson (Barry), Maurice Hoogendam (Patty), Rita Earl (Andrew), Linda Hoogendam (John Delutis) Robert Hoogendam. Predeceased by her daughter Donna Desjardins. Fondly remembered by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Rita was predeceased by her parents Maurits and Ellen Spetter, and by her brother Edward Spetter. Family and friends may pay their respects at the IRVINE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 4 James Street East, Brockville from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. A Ceremony in Celebration of Rita's life will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 125 Windsor Drive, Brockville on Friday, December 23rd at 10.30 am. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to Bethel Christian Reformed Church or World Vision will be gratefully acknowledged.
