Mrs. Lydia VanSchaick Bingham, 82, widow of George W. Bingham, member of a pioneer family of the Town of Summerhill, died Tuesday morning at her home. She had been in failing health.
Mrs. Bingham, who passed her life in Summerhill, was a daughter of Frederick Allen and Lydia Sawyer VanSchaick. She was a member of Summerhill Congregational Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Walter Letts, of Waterville; two sons, Smith Bingham, of Summerhill, and Howard Bingham, of Groton; also three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon in Summerhill Congregational Church. Rev. D.C. Flatt, of Plainville, a former pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery at Moravia.
