Born Karl Karlsson, he changed his name after the village he was born, Jularbo in the province of Dalarna. As a five-year-old, he learned to play the accordion, winning 158 competitions. Throughout his career, he made 1577 recordings, which is a Swedish record. "Livet i Finnskogarna", "Avestaforsens brus" and "Drömmen om Elin" are some of his most beloved recordings. He also made over 100 compositions. In the city of Avesta, there is a museum to his honour.
