Lead Daily Call newspaper, February 21, 1916 - FUNERAL WEDNESDAY. Over the Remains of the Late Samuel Richard. Samuel Richard, who died at St. Joseph's hospital, Deadwood on Friday last of pneumonia, will be buried from the Lead Episcopal church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. R.O. Mackintosh officiating. The remains are at the Mead undertaking parlors and may be viewed by friends until the hour of the funeral.
Deceased, who was 43 years of age, had been a resident of Lead for a number of years. He was a native of England, where his father still lives. He leaves two brothers and two sisters. One brother, Richard Richard, resides in San Francisco and the other, Harry Richard, is a resident of Australia. His sisters are Mrs. Kessell of Minneapolis and Mrs. Spry, living in England. Mrs. Ira Kessell, a niece of Minneapolis, arrived in Lead today to attend the funeral.
