daughter of Rev Smith Griffin & Betsy Edmonds and paternal granddaughter of Richard Griffin & Mary Smith the founders of Smithville, Ontario, Canada, first called Griffintown but later renamed after his wife's family.
On January 24 1844 Huldah became the first wife of Henry Proctor Adams (1822-1882) son of Rev Ezra Adams, a well known Ontario Methodist Missionary, minister and his wife Isa Proctor.
Henry and Huldah first lived in Westport, Missouri (1846-1850) where their first two children were born, then returned to Hanover, Ontario, Canada where their next two children were born.
Henry was a miller and built the dam and the first mill in Hanover and drew up plans for a new proposed village. He was prominent Mason, a school trustee and superintendent of the M.E Church Sunday School in Hanover, Ontario, Canada.
After Henry's third marriage he moved to Cavalier, North Dakota, USA where he is buried there.

(1) Eliza Marie (November 4 1846-November 9 1913) married Rev John Saunders (1839-1906) on June 16 1871 in Grey County, Ontario, Canada. Eliza died in St Paul's, MN,USA
(2) Ezra Proctor (October 29-1848-June 6 1929) married Margaret Ann Flewwelling (1849-1923) on October 11 1875 in Nichol, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada.
(3) Betsy E (August 4 1852-August 8 1879, unmarried, died from a falling tree accident and buried with her mother.
(4) James Henry Proctor (august 16 1855-January 30 1923) married Elizabeth Maria Boyd (1864-1930) on June 27 1878 in Hanover, Grey County, Ontario, Canada
