Husband of Olga. Son of John and Wilhelmina (Hauch) Gittersonke. The News Palladium carried an obituary for Adolph Getterson on 06 Jun 1969 and it reads: "Adolph Getterson, 77, 967 Pipestone, Benton harbor, died at 6:45 p.m. yesterday in Mercy hospital. Mr. Getterson, a resident of Benton Harbor since 1901, was born in Russia, March 19, 1892, the son of John and Minnie Hauch Gitterson. On April 1, 1960, he retired from Auto Specialties Manufacturing Company. Survivors include his widow, the former Olga Wohlgmut, whom he married Jan. 23, 1926, in Benton Harbor; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Dick of Brookville, Fla., Mrs. Calvin (Eleanor) Benedix and Miss Bernice Getterson of Benton Harbor and Mrs. william (Norma) Kechkaylo of Berrien Springs; two sons, Ralph Gitterson of Benton Harbor and Marvin Speed of Stevensville; several gandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother,Charles of sodus; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Martha) DeHaven of Hastings and Mrs. Rose Wohlgmut of Tampa, Fla. Mr. Getterson was a member of the IOOF Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. in the Kerlikowske and Starks funeral home. the Rev. Roger Campbell, pastor of the Calvary Bible church, will officiate. Burial will be in Crystal Springs cemetery."
