Grace Thompson Adkins,
daughter of Joshua P. and Emma Thompson, was born in Glasco, on March 3, 1888, and entered the fuller life on December 16, 1940.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Adkins on November 14, 1909. To this union six children were born: Leo, Vernon, Dorothy, Carl, Gerald and Ida Grace.

She united with the Presbyterian Church of Glasco when she was a child as her grandfather, the Rev. Newton Bracken, organized and built the First Presbyterian Church of Glasco which still stands.
Her paternal grandparents, William and Mary Thompson were also among the first pioneers who settled in this community.

She leaves to mourn her death besides her husband and children one brother, Paul, of Lompoc, California; and one sister, Pamela, of Glasco; besides a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Milton Englehart officiating. Interment was in the Glasco cemetery. The body bearers were her four sons, Leo, Vernon, Carl and Gerald.
