Several of her older sisters were married in Campbell County Virginia which is just outside Lynchburg. A biography of her son, John M., says she lived outside Lynchburg, Virginia before her marriage.
One of William's brother's (Tyre Tyra Smithson) married Seley Celia Murrell. She is a possible sister.
