The Oklahoman, Friday, Jun 13, 1958: An Oklahoma City area resident of 50 years, Mrs Viola High, 79, of 500 East Indian Drive, Midwest City, died Thursday in a local hospital. Services are pending with Guardian funeral home in charge. Born in Kentucky, Mrs High had lived in Oklahoma City since 1908 and was a member of the Presbyterian church. She had been ill for the past five months. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Anna Reuck, of the home; and Mrs Odell Wright, of 1119 N Virginia; and one granddaughter.

The Hudson and Angeline Ballenger Blankenship family arrived at Bonham, Fannin, Texas area between 1884 - 1889. Hudson moved away from Russell County, Kentucky after the birth of Cornelius, his son, who was born 1 March 1884, Russell County and moving to Bonham, Fannin County, Texas, before 16 June 1889, when a daughter, Ottie was born. Hudson Blankenship's family lived 4 1/2 miles southwest of Bonham, Fannin, Texas on Rural Route 2. On a road leading from Bonham and Whitewright to Bonham and Randolph road back to Blankenship Road. Directions to the home was on the 1910 census record. Viola Blankenship married Lee Moss Smith on 5 August 1894, Grayson County, Texas. Page 546. Minister, M. G. Speer of Christian Church officiated. The couple had three children. Anna Allie, Dewey Arley and Odell. Mr. Smith died in 1908 and in 1910 Viola was proprietor of a hotel on 126 W. California Street. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
