Paul E. Steinhardt Jr., 90, of 103 S. Wisconsin Dr., Howards Grove, passed away Wednesday June 14, 2006 at his residence. Paul was born may 10, 1916 in the Town of Lyndon to the late Paul Sr. and Mary (Steinke) Steinhardt. He attended local schools. On July 12, 1940, he married Evelyn Baumann at the Reformed church in Kiel. He was employed by the Kohler company for 45 ½ years, retiring in 1981.
Paul was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Howards Grove. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, dancing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Evelyn of 65 years, Paul is survived by his children; Charles Steinhardt of Sheboygan, Steven (Gina) Steinhardt of Sheboygan, Paulyn Green of Kansas City, MO, and Cynthia (Gary) Bartz of Sheboygan. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He is further survived by his sisters, Ione Steinhardt of Sheboygan, Louise Arnold of Kiel, a daughter-in-law, Sharon Steinhardt, many nieces and nephews and special friend, Jeannine Halverson. He was preceded in death by a son Michael, a son-in-law John Green, a brother and six sisters.
Funeral services for Paul will be held Saturday at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center. The Rev. Darrel Bergelin, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow services at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
