Paul F. Steinhardt Sr. Sheboygan Press January 31, 1964

Paul F. Steinhardt, Sr., 84, a one-time Johnsonville and Cascade businessman who had lived in Sheboygan Falls for the past 44 years, died late Thursday night. Mr. Steinhardt passed away at the Maplewood Nursing Home, 512 Pine St., where he had been residing for three years.
A native of Pommern, Germany, he was born Feb. 27, 1879, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Steinhardt. When about a year old he was brought to his country by his parents who settled in Plymouth. He married Miss Mary Steinke in St. John's Lutheran church there on April 17, 1901. The couple lived in Plymouth until 1905 when they moved to Johnsonville where Mr. Steinhardt operated a general merchandise store for several years until moving to Cascade where they were in the hotel and tavern business from 1915 to 1920. The then moved to Sheboygan Falls, with Mr. Steinhardt being employed as a molder at Kohler co. for 24 years until retirement in 1947. His wife died in January 1944. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Falls.
Surviving are two sons, Walter, Allenville (Winnebago County) and Paul Jr., Howards Grove; seven daughters, Mrs. Hobart (Alma) Dean, Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Alex (Nelda) Stentz, R. 1, Falls, Mrs. Benedict (Alvina) Mischo, Falls, Mrs. Norman (Mabel) Glaser, Ada, Mrs. Adeline DeBuhr, Falls, Miss Ione, Falls, and Mrs. Eugene (Louisemae) Arnold, R. 1, Elkhart Lake; 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He also leaves a brother, Ferdinand, Kiel, and a sister, Mrs. Louise Mueller, town of Lima. A son and daughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls, with the Rev. Edward W. Albertin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery at Cascade.
