Ruth Ware, 74, RR 12, died from injuries received in a car crash at Cowan Road and Muncie By-pass about 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Ware was the widow of Fred B. Ware and a member of Women of the Moose 712 and American Legion Auxiliary 321 in Yorktown.

She was a native of Henry County, but spent most of her life in Delaware County. She attended schools in Cowan and Oakville and was a cook at Eugene Field School from 1962-1970. She also formerly was a cook at the YMCA.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alberta Fullhart, Muncie, and Mrs. Frances Ferrell, Yorktown; a son, George Ware, Yorktown; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Halstead, Eaton, and Mrs. Naomi Hutson, Fremont; three brothers, Fred and Ralph Heaton of Muncie, and Earl Heaton, Yorktown; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Ware will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary with Rev. Richard A. Veach officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday or prior to services Monday.
