Painter. He gained recognition as a Swedish artist and restorer. He was educated at Swedish Art School in Stockholm from 1932 to 1936. While still in school, he participated in the famous Liljevalch´s Spring Exhibition at Stockholm in 1933. In 1938, he came to the United States and had a part in the mural painting in "The New Sweden Historical Exhibit" in Delaware. He was primarily a natural scenery painter in mainly oil and water colors and had several exhibitions throughout Sweden during his career. He also made his name as an illustrator and also a restorer of old paintings and decorations, in churches, manors and castles including Vadstena Castle, Margretelunds Castle (near Stockholm), Östanå Manor, outside Gränna and several old churches in the province of Östergötland. His last retrospective exhibit, "Life of an artist", was in 1999 in his hometown, Hjo.
