Jack Allred, 82, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Wayne L. Moss officiating. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Jack was born Dec. 19, 1929, in Wewoka, Okla., to Samuel and Nellie Allred. He served two hitches in the Army. Jack loved spending time with his family, being outdoors and traveling, and loved trees and photography. He will be missed by his family and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, T.J.; brothers, Edgar and Jerry; and sister, Betty Joe. Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; son, Edward (Toby); daughter, Lori Britton; son, Anthony and wife, Michelle; brother, Samuel Martin II and wife, Falita; sisters, Frieda Fuller and Tommie Johnson; grandchildren, Ashlea Britton, Heather McGinnis, Coltin Corbin, Tia Allred; stepgrandchildren, Scott and Collin; and nieces and nephews.
