Mrs. Transue Dies Monday In Kushequa
Funeral Services To Be Held Thursday At Daughter's Home
Mrs. Amanda Transue, aged 84, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. A. Gustafson, in Kushequa yesterday morning (May 17, 1943, Mrs. Transue, the widow of James Transue, had been a resident of Kushequa for 51 years. She was born August 26, 1859, in Monroe county, Pa. She was a woman of fine traits who possessed many friends.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Emily McArthur of Erie. Mrs. Hazel Housle of Hazel Hurst and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gustafson of Kushequa: six sons, Charles of Hazel Hurst, Harry and Oscar of Klttannlng, William of Kushequa, Raymond of Hazel Hurst and James Transue of Alliance, Ohio; 59 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Boncer of Stroudsburg.
