Jens was one of 11 children born to Jacob and Maren Pedersen. After his parents and 7 of his siblings died young, he and his surviving brothers emigrated to the USA (Utah and Idaho) in 1890-1896.
He lived in Salem, Madison, Idaho in 1900 and was a poultry farmer.
His widowed brother Anton Pedersen lived with him in 1900.
He later left Idaho and moved to Peasant View, Provo, Utah, Utah where he died in 1901 from Pulmonary Tuberculosis. He is buried in block 2 Lot 27 next to his nephew Jacob Pedersen d1897 and his Aunt Bodel Pedersen Jensen and other Jensen relatives.

Karl Nielsen Pedersen (1870-1944)
Anton Pedersen (1875-1935)
