Salvatore was my Uncle Salvy. He married my grandmother's sister, Irene Ida Firman in Manhattan, New York on 9 July 1918.

Uncle Salvy was one of the infamous go-betweens in the Lindbergh kidnapping and it is said that he was a trusted member of the mafia. He appears to have been part of the independent New Yorkers instead of a member of a particular family.

I only knew him from when I was about 10 until his death and he loved his family a great deal and was good to all of us.
