In his article "Ancestry of Thomas Osborne of New Haven, Conn., and East Hampton, Long Island," Donald Lines Jacobus identifies Jeremy Osborne of Ashford, Kent, as the father of Thomas Osborn, the tanner who settled in New Haven by 1643 and who removed to East Hampton by 1651.
