He was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, a retired logger and son of the late Dock and Annie Wyatt Nations. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Brooks Nations; three sons, the Rev. Larry Nations and wife, Virginia, and Mike Nations, both of Whittier, and the Rev. Johnny Nations and wife, Earline, of Sevierville, Tenn.; two sisters, Gladys Sutton of Dillsboro and Olga Barker of Sylva; brother, Ellis Nations of Darrington, Wash.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
